On Aug 26, 2021, the United States lost 13 service members in a suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan. Our thoughts & prayers are with their families during this very difficult time. One of these Fallen Heroes, Navy Medic HM3 Maxton W. Soviak was from Berlin Hts, OH. While we are no longer holding events to honor our fallen OH heroes, we will continue to honor and remember them through our website. Therefore, HM3 Soviak has become the 303rd Fallen Ohio Hero we honor here. RIP Max.
With our final event at Groveport over the July 4th weekend, we are now going to return our Fallen Heroes flagpoles to their Gold Star families. However, we only have about 1/3 of the families’ contact info. If you would like your loved one’s flagpole, please contact our Events Coordinator at ofoh.memorial2005@gmail.com.
